T-Mobile Providing Incentives to CLIQ XT Owners After Android 2.1 Update Axed

Here is something interesting: T-Mobile is providing a special offer through their Customer Loyalty reps in order to prevent the loss of subscribers ticked off by Motorola’s abandoning of Android 2.1 for the CLIQ XT. The leaked document obtained by TMoNews calls the offer confidential and doesn’t provide any details on what it might be.

Notion Ink orders open again; Adam skipping Gingerbread for Honeycomb

The second round of Notion Ink Adam orders is kicking off today , and pre-registered would-be-buyers should apparently already be receiving emails. Notion Ink isn’t saying how many purchase invites it is sending out – only that it’s a “huge” number – but after the payment frustrations the first time around, they’re taking a few extra precautions with their ordering process.

Apple begins production on iPad 2

Apple has started manufacturing the second version of its iPad tablet computer, according to the Wall Street Journal . The iPad 2 will come with a built-in camera (other reports have said two cameras) and a faster processor than the A4 processor in the original iPad that debuted in April, 2010, the WSJ said in a report that cited anonymous sources.

According to the Wall Street Journal ‘s sources, Apple’s next iPad is already in production. People “familiar with the matter” have chimed in and claimed that the new iPad will be much thinner and lighter than the existing model.

HTC Wildfire Version 2 Smartphone Caught On Video?

HTC posted a video today on their YouTube channel meant to promote the company’s recent innovations, but may have inadvertently included some footage of what could possibly be a new version of the HTC Wildfire. The 30-second video featured several HTC models including the T-Mobile G2, HTC Evo, and the Droid Incredible.

Honeycomb, Android 3.0, was recently announced by Google to help establish a foundation for tablet devices. We’ve been lead to believe that Honeycomb will only be available for tablets, not smartphones.
