Symbian Powered Samsung L870 Gets Official with Safari Browser

Samsung has just officially announced its latest mobile phone offering, the L870 slider which is not only sleek looking with its stainless steel body and brushed patter but most importantly it supports the Safari browser which we normally see in Apple’s web-capable devices such as the iPhone or iPod Touch. The announcement pretty much confirmed what we already know about from information and photo leaks as well as rumors that have circulate on the web. The Samsung L870 is an S60 smarthphone which runs on Symbian 9.3 and 3rd Ed. S60 interface. Samsung is also said to be planning on loading the new phone with nifty applications straight out the box, meaning the applications will be preloaded on the L870 units. The Samsung SGH-L870 will also come with a 13.5mm thick slider, 3.0 megapixel camera, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 100MB memory plus microSD slot, FM radio, Bluetooth, triband GSM support, single band UMTS/HSDPA at 3.6mbps support, Quick Office document viewer, push email, advance PIM applications, music player, video player. The Samsung L870 will be available in Europe sometime in August. No pricing details are available yet.
Samsung intros the F400 dual slider music phone

Korea has just launched new dual slider music, dubbed as the F400. This new Samsung mobile baby promises to bring top quality music and sound, enough to give users with sonic bliss within the palm of their hands. The Samsung F400 will come equipped with ICEpower technology courtesy of Bang&Olufsen, gives out smart bass rich, deep and powerful sound, the way music should actually sound when played on a normal audio system. Aside from employing this music technology, the F400 is also embedded with digital natural sound engine 2.0 for an added sonic touch to its sound quality. The F400’s music function is readily available using a music hot key button located on the side of the phone. It boasts of a metallic keypad with hairline pattern on a slide up mode. Things get different when you slide down the F400’s slider. From a simple mobile phone, it will turn into a full-featured music device with dual stereo speakers and silver wheel navigator. In addition, the F400 also features an embedded music recognizing application – Shazam. With this application users can find out the name and artist of the music that phone is currently playing. Other features of the Samsung F400 include; 3-megapixel camera with auto focus, FM radio and Bluetooth v2.0 support, built-in 1GB memory and microSD card slot for expansion up to 8 GB, 3.5 mm earphone jack. The Samsung F400 will hit France this month, while other countries will follow later on. It will be available in black and white with glossy finish.
Samsung i200 may not look good as the HTC Diamond, but it matches up in features anyway

Samsung Glyde (SGH-U940) coming to Verizon on May 9

The Samsung Glyde (SGH-U940) has long been rumoured to be released under Verizon Wireless. The rumor is finally coming true, in fact the Samsung Glyde will be release on Verizon’s online stores by May 9. Although there are no available pricing and other details on Verizon’s site yet, some data specs shows what are store for us uber cool slaves of this mobile phone phenomenon. Take a gander at the following Samsung Glyde mobile features folks. The Samsung Glyde (aka SGH-U940) is a side sliding CDMA phone that has only one key on its main face. Somehow mimicking the iPhone or iPod touch. But once you slide out the slider, you’ll find a full QWERTY keyboard for faster text input. The Samsung Glyde runs on CDMA/ 1xEV-DO and boasts of powerful features such as; Bluetooth stereo, Bluetooth printing, Broadband Access Connect, HTML browser, EMS/MMS/SMS messaging, supports various music formats, comes with a removable microSD with capacity of up to 8GB, 2.0 mp camera, hearing aid compatibility, video capture, voide dial, voice command capable, voice note memo, comes with Verizon’s V CAST Music and VS Navigator. Virgin Mobile to release the Samsung Slash slider phone, soon!

Although there has no official announcement yet from Virgin Mobile, it would seem that the mobile carrier is set to launch the Samsung Slash mobile phone under its fold anytime soon. The Samsung Slash already appears as one of Virgin Mobile’s offering. So while we wait for official announcement coming from either Virgin Mobile or Samsung, let’s take a look at what’s in store for us with this new slider phone from Samsung. From the Virgin Mobile’s website, it appears that the Samsung Slash will boasts of 6 major features namely; Bluetooth wireless connectivity, camera phone, real music ringtones, web browsing, text messaging and mobile games. Nothing fancy from the features really. But what makes the Samsung Slider stand out is its sleek design. The Samsung Slash phone’s features include; a slider camera phone (no. of megapixel was not indicated), Bluetooth wireless technology, full color screen, access to mobile web, speakerphone and voice dialing. This mobile phone gives out 170 hours of standby time, and 3.5 hours of talk time. The slider phone also lets users download mp3 ringtones, mobile games, chat park and many more cool applications. Other details that include pricing and service package information are not yet available for the Samsung Slash mobile phone.
Samsung intros “Soul” mobile phone in Europe

Samsung has launched it flagship mobile phone in Europe called the “Soul”. The Samsung Soul phone will be up for release later this month in France, UK, and Germany. The phone sports a tri-band phone feature with 5 megapixel camera, 4x digital zoom, face detection technology, image stabilizer and wide dynamic range. It also features a 7.2mbps HSDPA data access, supports 3G network. Announced last February in Barcelona, the Samsung Soul is a slim, lightweight and stylish all around mobile phone that combines style and functionality. These functions include advanced features that adapt to the users’ preferences . Its keypad are highly adaptable and offers simple navigation of menus. The phone’s icons adapt to the way the user is using the phones. The music icons appears when a user is using the phone as a music player for instance. Other features of this sleek looking phone include; GPRS Class 10 at 32-48kbps, EDGE Class 10 at 236.8 kbps, 3G through HSDPA at 7.2 mbps download speed, Bluetooth, SMS, EMS, MMS, and Email messaging, GSM 900/1800/1900 support for GSM network, large 2.2 inches TFT screen with 240×320 pixels, supports polyphonic ringtones and mp3 ringtones as well. Samsung has announced its latest mobile phone, the D780 boasting of a dual-standby mobile. With the dual-standby mobile feature users can have two mobile carrier sims and use one sim at a time while the other one is on standby mode. When the other sim is in use, the other one can still receive calls. If you are one of those mobile users who maintains two mobile phones to hold two mobile sims, then the D780 is for you. The Samsung D780 succeeds the Samsung D880, Samsung’s first GSM dual standby mobile phone. As compared to the slider Samsung D880, the D780 sports a bar type design with premium dark silver color and mirror silver color. The Samsung D780 highlights strong multimedia features that include a 2-megapixel camera, 2.1” crystal clear QVGA TFT display, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0, long lasting 1200mAh battery, supports MP3, WMA, e-AAC, music player, mobile printing technology (BPP, PictBridge). Alltel releases the Samsung Muse to the US mobile market

Boasting of a dedicated music key that provides access to the Muse’s mp3 player, the Samsung Muse is well suited for users who are looking for a mobile phone with music player feature. The music key also provides access to phone’s music library, ringtones and a free trial offer to preview 20 popular satellite music channels on Alltel’s XM radio mobile service. The Samsung Muse also provides users with access to Alltel’s Axcess TV, and GPS-based Axcess Mobile Guide. Design wise, the Samsung Muse looks sleek in its midnight blue color. Samsung SGH-D880, a versatile dual sim phone

At first glance, the Samsung SGD-D880 may seem to be just another ordinary everyday Samsung phone. But the SGH-D880 is actually not your ordinary everyday phone. Samsung has put in a dual sim slot into the SGH-D880 to set it apart from all the rest of the Samsung phones available in the market today. With the SGH-D880, you can now enjoy carrying two sim cards in your mobile phone. One SIM slot is used to hold the primary SIM card which carries out all the usual phone functions. The second SIM slot can be used as a secondary SIM which is on standby most of the time. SGH-D880 users can still receive calls on the secondary SIM’s number. To make it easier for users, whenever a call comes in, the screen will display which SIM card is being used. This is a useful feature for segregating your business calls from personal calls. The SGH-D880 has a dedicated switch located on the left edge of the phone to quickly access the SIM management setting. Coming Soon: Samsung F110 Adidas phone

Samsung and Adidas are set to release a co-branded F110. The F110, while not exactly meant for the tech-hungry set, does include a heartbeat monitor, step counter, and other sports-related applications. This 2.5G GPRS/EDGE handset packs a 2-inch display, a 2MP camera, FM tuner and MP3 player function. As with most of Samsung’s phones, this handset is pretty slim.
