An interview with Kenney Ho of The Chosun Daily of Korea

Kenney Ho, a staff reporter from Korean newspaper The Chosunilbo (The Chosun Daily) sent me a set of delightful questions. According to Kenney, The Chosunilbo “has a history of 90 years, has been the most dominant, and influential paper of all time in Korea.

Nokia sells New York headquarters

Nokia has sold its New York headquarters, located north of Manhattan in the industrial town of White Plains. Purchased six years ago for $30 million, the struggling Finnish vendor sold the building to biotechnology firm Histogenetics for $12 million. ”It’s a great deal for 12 million bucks,” Michael Rao, president of the realtor representing Histogenetics, told LoHud.com .

A YouTuber called the Nokia Lumia 900 the “toughest phone in the world.” Tech Craver wanted to test that. So they took it into the lab and tried to hammer a nail directly into the screen .

This week a couple of engineers from Tech Craver busted out a hammer, some nails, and their own Nokia Lumia 900 review unit to do some stress tests. While what you’re about to see isn’t technically as scientifically viable as we’d normally like to see in a hammer-to-smartphone test, we’ll accept it – if only because they added what appears to be Stephen Elop calling them on the phone at the end of the video before the video stoppers up.

Last quarter the Finnish smartphone manufacturer reported a $1.7 billion loss, and analysts fear the company may not be able to stop hemorrhaging money.

Say what you will about the Galaxy S III , but Samsung is going to sell mountains of phones. The Korea Economic Daily is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S III has already amassed around 9 million pre-orders with over 100 global carriers.
