Motorola Devour Arrives on Verizon

Verizon Wireless just snagged Motorola’s latest smartphone called the Motorola DEVOUR. This is the first Verizon Wireless phone that features Motoblur, Motorola’s own Android-powered content delivery service. With Motoblur, users will have access to various personalization and customization features of the said mobile phone.
The Motorola Devour features a robust contacts syncing feature for both work and personal e-mail servies including G-mail. It will allow users to posts, send instant messages, upload photos and other contents to social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. What’s so good about this Motoblur feature is that media contents are sent directly to the Devour’s home screen and fed as an easy-to-manage streams.
The Motorola Devour is also packed with great smartphone features including a 3.1-inch capacitive touch screen, touch sensitive navigation pad, pre-loaded apps including Gmail, GTalk, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps, direct access to the Android market, automatic pushing of status updates through widgets, an 8GB microSD card, Bluetooth, and a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard.
The phone also allows home screen customizations with e-mail and social network messages. These contents are automatically backed up as well on a secure Motoblur portal. The phone also has aGPS which can be used to track down the phone in case it got lost or misplaced.
The Motorola Devour is available through Verizon’s Nationwide Talk or Nationwide Talk and Text plans with pricing that starts from $39.99 monthly access to $59.99.
Motorola Brings Android to Korea with the MOTOROI

Motorola is introducing the Android platform to the Korean market as the company unveiled the MOTOROI smart phone running on Android 2.0. MOTOROI boasts of effortless pinch-and-zoom browsing, cinematic navigation through music, videos and maps of the world. It also allows users to use multiple apps at the same time.
With Android 2.0 running, MOTOROI will Koreans access to thousands of Android-based applications which are continually growing, thanks to Android developers and the Android’s openness as well. The MOTOROI features a huge 3.7-inch, high-definition WVGA display in 480×854 resolution. This allows easier way to view full page websites, videos, games and photos. This display features touch user interface and a capacitive touch sensor that allows smooth flipping and scrolling of the screen. The MOTOROI also has five main display allowing you to customize its menu with various widgets.
Since it is an Android phone, the MOTOROI is capable of delivering Google’s mobile services as well as providing high-speed web browsing. It supports up to eight browser windows and lets you use various Google mobile services such as Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk and more.
Other features of the MOTOROI include - 8 megapixe camera with Xenon Flash and 720p HD camcorder. Its camera also features panorama, face detection, multi-shot, face filter, red eye reduction, camera shake prevention and many more. Following the success of the DROID, Motorola is releasing its latest Android phone - the BACKFLIP with MOTOBLUR. The Motorola BackFlip is said to combine the social and personalization features of the MotoBlur and the multitasking features of a smartphone. To be released in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia in Q1 2010, The Motorola BackFlip features a unique reverse flip design and a QWERTY keyboard which is most useful for reading e-mails, texts, news feeds, social network messages.
The Motorola BackFlip’s MotoBlur content delivery service enables you to make your phone more personalized and social. It allows you to sync contacts, posts, messages, photos and other information from your social networking accounts. Motoblur supports Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail, personal email accounts and LastFM.
Aside from a high-resolution 3.1-inch HVGA screen, the Motorola BackFlip also features the BackTrack technology which makes it easy for you to navigate quickly and easily through the phone’s menus and features. The BackTrack can be accessed from the side of the phone, making it easy for you to scroll through photos, music and other media content.
