U.S. Cellular To Add Galaxy S II To Their Lineup, No Love For LTE

Like the original Galaxy S before it, Samsung’s Galaxy S II sure knows how to get around. After having touched down on Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T ( twice even ), the Korean giant’s one-time flagship handset is now being embraced by the folks at U.S.

Even more announcements have made their way to our inbox. Samsung and US Cellular are announcing that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be headed to the regional carrier sometime soon.

Moneto NFC compatibility comes to six new phones

Moneto has announced that is has expanded its flagship Near Field Communication (NFC) platform to Android, and has added support for six Samsung Galaxy S devices. This is in addition to the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S, which were already supported by the company.

Yesterday, we reported that a leaked Android 4.0 ROM had been successfully modded to boot with the Samsung Epic 4G Touch . While the ROM is not completely working, it is a great way to see how Android 4.0 and Touchwiz will feel once the official update is released.

Samsung has not been the best at updating Sprint devices, but things are turning around this year. Samsung is currently working hard at updating the Epic 4G Touch to Android 4.0.

LG Miracle reported to have NFC support

Even though Near Field Communication (NFC) is not currently a feature of Windows Phone Mango, there’s a new report that suggests LG’s upcoming Miracle handset will have NFC connectivity. The Miracle is one of the most anticipated Windows Phone offerings from LG and has previously been reported to have a rubberized case, a 5-megapixl rear camera, a front-facing VGA camera, and a 4-inch WVGA NOVA display.
