Verizon Galaxy S III S4 dualcore beats Exynos in GPU testing

The Galaxy S III tidbits keep on coming, and after promising battery indications  comes further evidence that Verizon’s variant of the smartphone will pack a dualcore Snapdragon S4 rather than Samsung’s own quadcore chip. Premature NenaMark2 benchmarks suggest Verzion’s SCH-I535 Galaxy S III will indeed swap the Exynos for a 1.5GHz S4, presumably the same chipset as in the LTE-toting One X , as Samsung moves to accommodate the 4G technology.

Samsung wasn’t done with the accessories when it announced a whole stack of ‘em alongside the incoming Galaxy S III last week. A few more have now started to appear on pre-order, including, yes, another stylus.

When Samsung announced the Galaxy S III earlier this month, it had news about plenty of accessories for the smartphone . We talked about some of those at the time, like a WiFi-enabled AllShare hub and Samsung’s C Pen stylus, and while the manufacturer had some details to share, we didn’t get a chance to have a close look at much of this GS3 gear.

This week at CTIA 2012 we caught up with Ryan Bidan, Director of Product Marketing for Samsung Mobile, who was glad to provide us with a hands-on comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note , two titans for the modern Samsung smartphone line. Samsung may say that the use of PenTile on its Super AMOLED HD displays is in order to keep it working for longer, but is the company holding out on us? SamMobile has heard from a source saying that the current Tizen prototype being used features a Super AMOLED HD Plus display, indicating the use of a full RGB matrix.
