The HTC S740 is the successor to the S730 and S710 Vox. It features the same numeric keypad and full QWERTY keyboard on a slider and sports a piano black design and faceted back. The HTC S740’s main features include a large 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen, mobile internet browsing and surfing via broadband HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a microSD card for memory expansion. For its other features, the HTC S740 boasts of a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM722 processor, Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard OS, a 256MB ROM/256MB SDRAM, a stand-alone GPS and aGPS, FM Radio with built-in microphone and speaker, ring tone supports music formats such as AAC, AAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, QCP, MP3, WMA and WAV.The HTC S740 measures 116.3 mm x 43.4 mm x 16.3 mm and weighs only 140g including battery. It’s a HSDPA/WCDMA 900/2100 MHz phone for Europe and GSM/GPRS/EDGE Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz phone. Packing in a rechargeable Lithium-ion polymer battery, the HTC S740  gives out up to 400 hours standby time for WCDMA, 280 hours for GSM, 320 minutes talk time on WCDMA, 380 minutes for GSM. It also supports predictive text input which you can turn on and off and features; multiple numbers per contact, picture ID Ring, Ring ID, PIM functionality such as Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, TO-DO and Notes.
