RIM Intros the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 Smartphone

Research In Motion today unveiled the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone which RIM touts as the first BlackBerry phone to come in the popular flip form factor.With one quick flip of the handset, users are treated  with impressive Internet and multimedia mobile phone capabilities. With a simple flip can send messages to their friend, make a call, browse the web, snap photos, watch video and listen to music. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip is a quad-band EDG based smartphone which despite of its flip form factor still carries with it the same sophisticated look and feel of other BlackBerry handsets.The Pearl Flip boasts of a sleek design and chrome-finished, smooth, luminescent face. Feature-wise, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip got tons to brag about as well. Weighing a mere 3.6 ounces, the quad-band EDGE based BlackBerry Pearl Flip features 2 high-resolution, light sensing color displays, an external LCD and a 240×320 internal LCD.The Pearl Flip delivers great voice quality. Other features of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone includes Speaker Independent Voice, Recognition for Voice Activated dialling, support for mp3 ring tones,smart dialing, conference calling, speed dialing, call forwarding, voicemail attachment playback, background noise cancellation, speaker phone and Bluetooth, and Bluetooth GPS receiver, large QWERTY, DataViz Documents to Go software suite for editing MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint files directly on the Pearl Flip. And of course the phone also features BlackBerry Professional Software and BlackBerry Enterprise Server. In addition, the Pearl Flip also has a 2.3 megapixel camera with flash, zoom and video recording. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 be available beginning this fall. It will be available exclusively for T-Mobile.
