Sprint Expands Lineup with the Sanyo Katana II and Katana DLX

katana2fanlg.jpgkatanadlxfanlg.jpgSprint, together with Sanyo has jointly announced that the much talked about Katana II and Katana DLX will be released under the said mobile network. Both phones are powered with access to exclusive Sprint content, such as the Sprint Music Store which allows users to download songs directly on their phone for just 0.99 cents. Both phones are also under the Sprint Power Vision line which enables users to conveniently access their emails from commonly used email providers with no downloads required.

Both phones also come in a number of colors giving customers  an array of choices, the Katana II is available in 3 colors; Cosmic Black, Pink Fascination and Midnight Steel, while the Katana DLX will come in Platinum Ice, Champagne and Pink Satin.

The Katana DLX and Katana II share features such as Bluetooth connectivity, a huge QVGA display, phone can be used as modem, GPS with specific driving directions and more than 10 million business listings(powered by TeleNav via the Sprint Network), wireless backup  in the event that the phone gets lost, stolen or destroyed, contacts will be easily restored. Tha Katana II offers up to 21MB in download capacity, unlike its successful predecessor,the Sanyo Katana. The KAtana II also features a VGA camera, voice SMS and Spint Mobile Email, among others. The Katana DLX, on the other hand, sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot.

Both phones ar enow avaiable in all Sprint retail outlets. The Katana II costs US $ 49.99, while the DLX is priced at $129.99. with a two year lock-up and US$50 mail-in rebate.
