Multiple SIM-Personality Phone: Huatian K998

June 23, 2007

Huatian K998If two SIM cards weren’t enough for you, with the new Huatian K998 you can use 3. One can now carry three separate active numbers all in one phone… to what end however? Since they’re not really all active all at once (you can only receive and make calls through one sim at a time… considering that you only have one mouth and theoretically can only focus on one conversation at a time, this makes sense) and therefore have to manually switch between SIMs, what use could this be to you? I’ll tell you what: if you shuttle between different dualband countries pretty often, you could use these. Or maybe you’re hitting on 3 different individuals at the same time and want to keep your contact clean and SIM-exclusive, this would work. Otherwise, you could use it like any other phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, 3 inch touch screen, micro SD expansion slot and video call capability among other features. Still interested? It could be yours for 200 bucks… plus the cost of a trip to and from China.
