Concept Cellphone: Domino Phone

May 30, 2007

Domino Phone
Getting a domino box on your birthday wouldn’t be such a bummer if this phone ever gets to hit the streets. Folks at Syntes design studio have come up with a phone that was inspired and derived from yes, you guessed it, dominoes. I must say, the design is funky (though might give other users a hard time) as the keypad is designed with domino dots instead of the usual numbers, plus it comes in its very own do mino box. Aside from having a camera, we don’t really have much info on this item but will definitely update you guys as soon as word comes out.

FCC Approves Sony Ericsson W660i

May 30, 2007

Sony Ericsson W660iSony Ericsson’s newest addition to its Walkman series, the W660i received the FCC’s thumb up today. Its standout feature is the Gracenote Mobile MusicID. I know at one point or another, while listening to the radio, a song suddenly plays and either you couldn’t remember the title/artist or are dying to know the title and who sang it, well, then the W660i is perfect for you. The GRacenote Mobile MusicID allows the user to record a clip of a song while it is being played over the radio, the Track ID then sends it to the Gracenote database, and voila! the details get sent back to you! Pretty cool, eh?! A 512 MB memory stick micro will be thrown in for good measure as the W660i can play up 470+ songs in eAAC+ format, and its memory is expandable to up to 1GB.

No other details available as of now but we’re pretty sure that this baby will hit stores soon.
