Cellphone Rumor: LG KE850 = Prada Phone?
December 30, 2006
We only heard about the partnership between LG and Prada to design a Prada Phone recently, and now a blog claims that the new LG Prada phone might actually be the KE850. Photos from the source show that the LG KE850 will come in Prada Packaging, with Prada leather case, though it is unsure whether Prada ever had a say in what the phone would look like. Repackaging an existing model with Prada and calling it the Prada phone would, however, go against what was previously reported, that they would build a new phone from the ground up. We’ll just have to wait and see whether this rumor is true or not.

Vertu has recently released its Signature Cobra series of cellphones. What makes this handset different from previous Signature phones from Vertu is that there is an actual Cobra, made from 439 rubies and 2 emeralds (for its eyes), clutching two diamonds (1 pear-shaped and one round whit diamond) attached to the phone. All those stones make this handset all the more expensive, not to mention heavy. This handset was designed by Frenchman Boucheron, and is priced at a hefty $310,000 US. If you can’t afford that, there is supposedly a discounted version available for $115,000 US.
