Cellphone: Sony Ericsson W300i for Cingular Wireless

The W300i, a clamshell Walkman handset from Sony Ericsson, has recently joined the Cingular family of available mobile phones. Cingular is hoping that sales of this unit will follow the success it had with the W600i which is now no longer available. It is expected that the W810i will follow suite and be launched on Cingular in the near future.
The W300i’s feature set includes the following:
- Quadband GSM plus EDGE
- Walkman music player (MP3/AAC/WAV)
- Bluetooth
- VGA Camera with video capability
- Speakerphone and stereo speakers
- IM: AIM/Yahoo/ICQ/MSN
- 20MB memory plus M2 memory card slot
- Dual Display: Internal 128×160 px 262k color TFT, and external monochrome display
The unit will cost $19.99 from Cingular with a 2 year service contract, after online discounts and a 75@ mail-in rebate.

Nokia Adds N75 and N95 to N Series, Updates old models

Nokia has announced two new members of the Nseries line of phones, as well as updates to existing models.
Nokia N75: a smartphone with a thinner clamshell form factor, features similar to the N71. The N75 has dedicated music keys in front, which provides access to a music player that supports MP3, MP4a, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA audio format. Located above the music keys is the 1.36 inch color cover display. The unit to be made available to the US market supports WCDMA 850/1900 and quadband GSM/Edge. Features include a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, a microSD expansion slot which allows up to 2GB of additional memory, Bluetooth 2.0, QVGA display and S60 3rd edition.
The unit will be available to US customers by the end of this year.

Cellphone: LG VX-8600 for Verizon Wireless

LG has just announced that the VX-8500’s newest and thinner sibling, the VX-8600, will be carried by Verizon Wireless.
The new clamshell phone retains most of the features found in the older model but at the same time cramming everything into a tighter space. Features include EVDO high-speed data, stereo Bluetooth, 1 megapixel camera, microSD expansions slot, onboard music player, external touch controls. The only trade off is a lower resolution display.
No info is available about pricing or release date as of yet.

While the hotpink shell might not appeal some masculine individuals, the Pink Lenovo i807 is truly a feature-packed sexy beast of a phone.
It possesses a 2 inch 260k color TFT touch screen with handwriting recognition and 160 degree viewing angle, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), an FM tuner with recorder, a 1.3 Megapixel camera with video recording capability and a MMC Micro expansion slot.

New Clamshell in Sprint’s Lineup: Sanyo M1

Rumor has it that Sanyo will be supplying Sprint with their most technologically advanced mobile phone unit yet, the Sanyo M1 clamshell mobile phone.
Available images show that the clamshell will be sporting a classy black exterior, which will show the user 3 interesting features: an external 128 x 96 pixel 262k color TFT screen, an ipod-like scroll wheel to be used with the onboard music playing function, and what looks to be stereo speakers.
Other features not obvious in the image are the 2 megapixel digital camera, a QVGA 262k color internal screen, 1 GB of internal memory, a MicroSD expansion slot, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, EV-DO, and ReadyLink capability. No official announcement from either Sprint or Sanyo on this, so everyone will just have to wait and see.

Who says couch potatoes are limited to the couch? A host of TV-phones have come into the market lately enabling almost any boob-tube addict to leave the comforts of their houses. Most recent among them would be the LG U900 DVB-H mobile TV phone.
The U900’s slider design allows the user two options as far as watching on the QVGA 2.2 inch LCD screen is concerned, vertical or horizontal. The swivel screen opens to reveal the unit’s keypad and the VGA camera to be used for video calls. The unit also possesses a 1.3 Megapixel digital camera located on the back, along with what seems to be an LED flash unit. This Quadband phone (900/1800/1900/2100 MHz - GSM, GPRS, UMTS) also has Bluetooth connectivity, a MicroSD expansion slot, automatic channel scanning function, onboard preferred channel setting and is capable of up to 2 hours of uninterrupted watch-time.

A dual-band CDMA phone with EV-DO support, the Nokia 6315i is the “second Nokia-branded phone by Pantech for Verizon”, PhoneArena writes. Its features include a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, a music player with external keys for quick access, microSD slot, 262k color 176×220 LCD display, speakerphones, and Bluetooth connectivity. The clamshell phone is now availble via Verizon for US$79.99 with a 2-year contract.

Cell Phone: Casio E03CA Shock Resistant and Waterproof

Japanese company Casio recently launched an anti-shock cellphone with water protection, the Casio E03CA via network operatoe AU KDDI. The clamshell phone sports a 2.o megapixel camera with autofocus, Bluetooth technology, IrDA, GPS services. The phone, which measures 53.117.33 mm and wieghs 166g, has an internal LCD with 240×320 pixels and an external one (1″) with 100×100 pixel resolution and. it has 62 mb in internal memory but is also equipped with a microSD card slot for expansion. The E03Ca is set for release this December.
