Sony Ericcson announces the walkman phone W42S

Sony Ericsson has released their first walkman phone W42S for Japan’s KDDI telco last week. It features a whopping 1GB internal memory built in, support for memory stick duo up to 4GB, a jog dial similar to the minidiscman, a 2.2 inch 240 by 320 262K color screen and FM receiver. You can transfer the music files from your pc to the phone via USB cradle and SonicStage software. The included music player support music formats like ATRAC3plus, ATRAC3, WAV, MP3, WMA and AAC. Additionally, Sony Ericcson is reportedly mulling an ultra hard coat layer on the screen to add additional protection.
