The quick thinking woman whipped out her 1.3 megapixel Samsung P777 camera cell phone and snapped a photo which was posted to Flickr for all the world to see and comment.

Television On Cell Phones in Canada

Rogers Wireless and Bell Mobility started offering its subscribers television service over cell phones. Telus Mobility plans to follow up later in the the year. However, questions still remain whether there is sufficient demand. According to a recent In-Stat/MDR U.S. cell phone subscriber survey, two-thirds of the respondents did not yet want video service for their wireless devices.

Besides requiring a broadband, 3-G cell phone capable of playing video, subscribers will have to pony up $25 a month for the Rogers service and $10 a month for the Bell Mobility service.

Channels available on the Bell Mobility service include CBC Newsworld and G4 Tech TV. Rogers’ 8-channel lineup is dominated by sports and news, including The Weather Network and Fox News.
