Nokia Launches the 5250 Mid-Range Phone

With the proliferation of highly advanced smartphones, it’s amazin how Nokia still continues to produce low-end phones yet possessing some nice, advanced features. One of these phones is the Nokia 5250, a touchscreen phone powered by Symbian and is being geared as a music-centric mobile phone.
The Nokia 5250 main feature has got to be its music player which has its own icon on the phone’s homescreen. The music player app supports Nokia’s Ovi Music Store, meaning you can purchase music tracks from the online store and download it directly to the Nokia 5250 phone. While the phone’s built-in memory is only 512MB which could hardly accomodate thousands of music tracks, you have the option to expand it via a microSD memory card up to 16GB. Aside from this, the Nokia 5250 also comes with a built-in FM radio and a complementary copy of Guitar Hero 5 Mobile.
Aside from the music player on the phone’s homescreen, there are also other apps, particularly social networking app such as Facebook, MySpace and others. The phone also lets you access your Ovi Mail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail. You can also check out your IM accounts. For more apps, you can just check the Ovi Store to get the apps supported by the phone.
And since this is a music phone, it has to have long battery life. Fortunately, the Nokia 5250 can last you up to 24 hours of continous music playback or up to 18 days standby and 7 hours talktime.
Other features of the Nokia 5250 include - Symbian^1 OS, GSM/EDGE Network connectivity, 2.8-inch TFT screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 640×360 resolution, and a 2 MP camera.
The Nokia 5250 is slated for a 4th Quarter release. It will cost you €115 to score this phone.
Nokia Unveils the Nuron 5230 Smartphone for the Masses

Recently, Nokia and T-Mobile have announced the latest Nokia smartphone which is going to be marketed for the masses. Dubbed Nokia 5230 Nuron, this smartphone features social networking apps, maps with turn-by-turn navigation and more useful features. The Nokia Nuron is slated to be released under T-Mobile later this year.
Utilizing T-Mobile’s 3G network, the Nokia Nuron provides fast and dynamic web browsing. It’s key features include a 3.2-inch touch screen, Ovi Maps, AGPS, 3G and other features.
This smartphone offers a mobile solution that lets you make your way easily around town as well as download content and apps that will keep you entertained while on the move. It will also allow you to stay connected with friends and family through IM apps, SMS, persona and work e-mail as well as full HTML browsing capability.
The Nokia Nuron also comes packed with Ovi Maps which does not only provide you with turn-by-turn directions and navigation but also makes it easy for your to discover places to eat, concerts, movies and other Lonely Planet guides. It also lets you check the weather forecast as well as share your location through Facebook. The Nokia 5320 comes loaded with maps for the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
Other features of the Nokia Nuron 5320 include - 2MP camera for both still pictures and video capture, FM radio, media player, and 70 MB internal memory with support for microSD card.
The Nokia Nuron 5320 boasts of 7 hours GSM and 4 hours 18 mins WCDMA talk time, 438 hours GSM and 458 hours WCDMA stand by time.
Nokia Unveils the C-Series with the Nokia C5 Phone

True to the rumor that has been going around the past few days, Nokia indeed has a new series of mobile phones, the C-Series. And to kick off, the new Nokia C5 was just launched. The Nokia C5 is another smartphone which optimized for social networking and sharing. It provides direct access to favorite contacts as well as Facebook status updates on its homescreen.
The Nokia C5 also supports MySpace, various instant messaging tools and email accounts through its Ovi Mail service. But of course other email clients are also supported by the Nokia C5. The phone also features a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 2GB memory card, assisted navigation, location sharing, web browsing and applications that can be purchase from the Nokia Ovi Store.
This phone runs on S60 3rd edition mobile OS and also boasts of a bright 2.2-inch display. It also has a built-in stereo FM radio, 3.5mm AV connector, and stereo IHF speaker.
Design-wise, the Nokia C5 sports a small form factor with just over 12mm and 46mm across. It provides up to 12 hours talktime and standby time of up to 26 days.
The Nokia C5 is slated for a 2nd quarter 2010 release and will be available in white and warm gray. It will have an estimated price of around 135 Euro.
